f. Patients should drink at least two organic cups of tea daily.
g. During this phase patients should load up on high fat foods. These include nuts, heavy sauces, avocados, cheeses, etc but no trans fats like fried foods.
h. Patients should begin the transition to organic food as much as possible and only using stevia as a natural sweetner.
3. Phase II termed "Restricted Calorie Food Plan"
a. Patients should continue taking the HCG at the same time each day.
b. During this phase patients should plan on losing about a pound each day.
c. Caloric intake depending on the program varies from 500 to 1200 calories per day.
d. Aerobic physical activity is recommended during the program for 30-45 minutes multiple times per week.
e. Nutraceutical support is recommended during this phase in conjunction with the treating doctor.
f. Water and tea intake should be continued, but no alcohol or sodas should be consumed.
g. On the last day of your HCG injection/drops, patients should continue on a calorie restricted diet for another couple of days.
4. Phase III termed "Maintenance"
a. Locks in the weight loss
b. Patients may return to regular calorie intake without starchy, fast food, or heavily processed foods.
c. Eating lots of protein is recommended.
d. This is the most important part of the program.
